HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!
We had a Red and White Day at Rainbow last Friday... some people, (like Azree, Idafeee and Usher-man) went to the extent of buying a new shirt just because they didn't have a shirt in either of the stipulated colours. However, only Azri was successful in getting a red shirt whereas Sherman got a white one.
Me? I had my white shirt.. but i was the most patriotic of them that day cos i brought my Singapore jacket..which had 'SINGAPORE' emblazoned at the back of the jacket! Hahahaha...
I had kept it in my bag that morning, until they were chiding me the moment i stepped into the office.
"Where's your red shirt?! Why aren't you wearing red.. Not patriotic at all!!"
Hahaha...and then i took out my jacket! Hahaha...but it was too hot to wear it the whole day so i only wore it when we camwhored.
Other than that....
IT WAS MY 18th BIRTHDAY yesterday!
Had a surprise from the missus. Hahaha.. she lied to me the whole day!! But it was a pleasant surprise... i had a cake baked specially for me..not too sweet. The way i like it!
Aaaahhh...dark chocolate cream cheese icing on top of moist chocolate cake...still slightly chilled, evidently just out of the fridge... with slightly 'lemau' koko krunch on top which tried to say 'HAPI BFDAY' but only a few of us spotted it before it got eaten and mangled! Plus...there was a walnut if i was not mistaken at the crest of the cake... I'll call it Choc Fug.. Cause even though it looks ugly when eaten by me... it deliciously chocolatey and yummilicious! Call me biased but comments from the kakaks and makchics as well as the boys there will support my claims...
Chik Fatimah says.. "Ni belik pat mana ni?? Sedaaaap.."
Sherman says.. "The chocolate on top nice ahh..." with his Malaynised English...
These are the uplifting comments amongst all other positive ones that i remember.
God..Let this be the catalyst to get Kamie to bake more for me....
Sorry i dun have a good pic of the cake... but trust me... nice!
Plus...
Finally im stopping... by end of this month i will be ending my extended part-time work at Rainbow. I noe it's safer to find a job first and then stop working at Rainbow but i dun think it works that way... I'm feeling too safe.
Too safe to have the urgency to get a job...
Too safe that i am able to sleep without anxiously thinking of my next step when i wake up...
Too safe knowing i can always fall back on the great life i have at Rainbow...
Thank you Lina for all the help so far, in getting me the job, in dragging me to Rainbow by force, in making Rainbow a great working environment (along with Hidayah and the rest), in allowing me to express myself fully at work (by singing and screaming out loud..), by trusting me at work..and for allowing me to leave when it's tight at work.. i will always remember Rainbow as the bedrock of foundation for a great working environment that i envision to create everywhere i go... and when i have my own business..

Through crazy times on the way back to Jurong...

Making a fool of ourselves...
Getting you red in the faces...
Siting beside whiny aggressive mother-to-be and mothers already...
Free-to-take vending machines...
Irritating and rude agents and the "NOW NOW NOW"...
Life was always fun there....
Well...time to leave soon.
May we all one day work together again.
May Allah guide us all..bless us with happiness and health n protect us from the dangers of this world, physically or mentally. Help us become successful people in the world and after...
