BRO...SURE!

Spent the wee mornings doing this....

haiz... this was all i could come out with considering the dull head that i have..

hahaha...

and came past sahur.. I was wide awake!!! BODOHHH...
May Allah guide us all..bless us with happiness and health n protect us from the dangers of this world, physically or mentally. Help us become successful people in the world and after...
I just attended a course just now...it was just the first part of the talk and it was conducted by a Ms Dawn Lim...

One of the points that she brought up based on her experience in the corporate life is that as a Singaporean, your main selling point is that you should know a hell-load about Singapore. That is your selling point especially if you are working overseas.

It's not about patriotism or loyalty but every cat knows it's backyard..so does every dog and mouse or even bird. To not know your place.. is one of the ultimate loss.. Imagine an outsider asking you where the best place to eat is.. where the best place to get this or that is... or ur culture and history.. all these knowledge may not be important on a Singaporean-to-Singaporean basis but on a Singaporean-to-Foreigner basis... its so important. Imagine working overseas and having people ask you about your homeland and asking you to tell interesting things... what do we have in our treasure box??

Grass is seemingly greener on the other side..

So, to others... grass IS green on our side.

Hahaha..i wanna go find out more about Singapore. I wanna specialise in Singapore... Sounds so patriotic ey? No.. i just wanna be able to tell so much to others about my home.

This is to prepare me if i wanna work overseas. I have been watching documentaries and shows showning people who work overseas. Malaysians and Singaporeans who live in Germany, London, France... and they carve a niche for themselves there. There was this Malaysian show interviewing a guy who works as a banker in Germany.. He worked hard.. i think not much harder than us here too. Im sure many people work hard locally as well as overseas... Put this point he said...

One has to prove themselves worthy, as to why they should employ you instead of a local...

I thinnnnnkkk... my comment, is that the sentence is somewhat flawed. Why should an employer employ you COMPARED TO ANOTHER guy... i dun really think there is an issue of local or foreigner. I feel that people usually tend to favour foreigners, especially if there is some positiveness attached to your nationality.. E.g. Ang Mohs are presumed to be good and creative. Japanese assumed to be hardworking and so on.. UNLESS there is a stigma attached to your nationality or race... then maybe employers might have aversion to higher you. Basically, its the image that is portrayed.

No..these are not the things discussed at the course. The course was about communication tools. But my mind deviates so far!

The course conducted was very fun and insightful by the way!

BERITA TERGEMPAK!!

I got this from the Daily Planet... Apparently a bunch of hijackers got caught in the easiest of ways by the interpol... they were apprehended while they were sleeping in their bunks... Here's the story recollected by one memberz...

Yesterday, a bunch of PUNKs who call themselves the K2P hijacked a BUS... Since it was the fasting month, they did not do anything to the DREBAR and they still paid their fares with their student EZlink...

The DREBAR drove as fast as he could so that he can buke in time at Bazaar Geylang @NUS... there was so much food at the bazaar!!

So the DREBAR invited along the hijackers to eat along with him since it is the blessed month of ramadhan and it is good to share food...

After that, he invited them to the musollah to attend a talk by the ustadz rocker. It was an MS (Mat Slacker) talk and they discussed about issues like "what to do with excess pisangs" and "what to do when u are full" and so on...

Right then...Bro Azmeer recommended to the jemaah to dip the excess bananas into drippingly-delicious nutella.... oooohhh... The CHIP of K2P got so excited with the idea that he wasted no time in dipping HIS banana with chocolate... (steam kaperrr?! he asked..)

Everyone started coating THEIR banana with sticky chocolate.... Yummmmy....

After that... they had their warm MILK...

Went to BUNK....and slept....

That was when they were caught in the wee hours of the morning right before sahur!! Hahaha...

Check out the full story at www.dailyplanet.net! (bedek!)

The K2P celebrates 3 years of ramadhan and a closure to the soccer season!! Wait up for the next instalment when they begin the new season with a new jersey and more winning streaks and dean's listers.... before that.. watch out Santa Claus... cos Hari Raya is coming to town!

My Birthday Surprise Pics!

Haaa!! I just got photos of my birthday surprise last month... (stole it from Ain's livejournal!)

This is a classic! The dumb Faizola following Kamie's order to close my eyes and got led into the 'lion's den'! Hahaha...

Padahal i knew that something was bound to happen. (Why else would she ask me to close my eyes kan?!) But the journey was so long... we walked for some time u noe! N plus..i was enjoying her holding my hands.. Hehehe..awww.. so sedaaap.

And i somewhat tripped on something and accidentally opened my eyes. Wanted to close it back but coincidentally, we reached.. First one i saw was Hidayat (PJC)! Hahaha.. Ok..i blogged abt that one already so just browse thru the pics!

Apparently, this are some pictures they took before i came! Bobby and Nad brought the bike to Labrador park.. Up till now, it is still a mystery how they got it there.

I think Bobby cycled and Nad sat on the bike... or on Bobby.. Hmmm.. What do you think?

"So too!"

Hahaha..

Then this is the pic of them waiting to 'spring' the birthday song upon me... See the best thing abt this pic? Shows rep from my family, my CTSS/NPCC friends and also my NUS friends.. missing her is my PJC frens who was also represented on that day. Awwww... So sweet arh Kamie and my Sissies!

This is my lil Sis with Vivien.. apparently they had and 'intimate' moment... Hahaha... The NPCC and NCC together.. how ironic!

Then, the representatives from PJC was having a slow talk with me on marriage life, working life and being a father...

NAAAH!! Joking! They were sending me regards from the other PJC ppl they knew who couldn't make it.. But this is a nice picture.. Nice...

For the other pics.. go here!

First Sin ever?

Fazli asked me in the bus just now.

"Who made the first racist remark or who was the first ever racist?"

I first answered... "the Guy who hit Bilal?" (In 'The Messenger').. He said "NO.. try again".

My second answer...i pondered deeper ... Then i answered.. "The Devil?"

He said.. "YES!"

The devil Iblis was somewhat the first racist i thought when he drew a bold line between himself (made of fire) and Adam (made from soil)... So yeah... DON'T BE RACIST or u might possibly have made a sin, first to be recorded to be made!!

Fazli got this from his ustaz at Pergas anyway...

BURST The Brain..

Ahhh....

Finally TR3001-02 showed some progress. We had a group get together to brain-burst (brainstorm) and gut out more than 10 well thought out ideas (in a span of an hour plus)...

Narrowed down to 3 and within hours, elaborated, dressed-up and loaded up online for Paul to email to the TA for comments. Ahhhhh... so productive. This is what happens when u squeeze a man's balls and make him work with so little space that it becomes very much more effecient. believe man can always do better than they think they can and you need some hot water to bring the java out of coffee beans.

Yeah...and i am actually proud of some of the ideas. Ahhh..but nearly all of them are patented but we are going around it via the methods taught in TR3001. That's the beauty of doing this 2 modules together; their interchangibility is so beautiful...

Kamie just asked me whether i minded if she earned more salary than me.

Stops and ponder for a sec...

"Naah!"

I dun mind as long as we all contribute to the 'Burgundy Fund for Life' and we treat each other nice and dandy and be happy and thankful and not complain. (that goes two ways) Cause sometimes, the husband really doesn't mind but the wife keeps rubbin' it in.. The weaker husbands will get jealous and get all frustrated (self-detonate).. And in all quarrels, both side loses. I especially hate it if others step into the foray and make an issue of what seems to be a beautiful harmony. I.E. parents that step in and complain why your husband earns lesser money than you and deems him incompetent. The key point is..

"Both puts in equal effort or both actually compete (healthily) to wanna
contribute more into the family and actually enjoying the process! Takmo stress
la bradder... stress is usually self induced tau!"

Hmmm.. simple issues should not be made complicated. Just enjoy whatever you are doing!! I wouldn't wanna have a job which brings in a couple of hundred more cash and stress... i'd rather have one that i enjoy and really wanna do! (Refer to my post on Doing a Job that You Actually are willing to Pay for instead of Earn from!)

Well..a day is done. I got to watch a new episode of Bleach today (Ep. 139) and somehow Inoue got kidnapped while travelling through the dimensional gates. ArrrrrrghhhhH! She reminds me of mimi... hahaha...

6 days have passed and i still have money... still have money to save for project Electrified Strings...

"Why hasn't anyone blogged about KL?! AND WHERE ARE THE PICS Azack and Lynna!?!"

Iced Milo Horlick Panas...

I felt likfe peeing damn badly at lab just now! Not becos my bladder was full but i didnt know how to scale every of my autoCAD drawing onto a piece of A4 sized layout. Hahaha...so did the people around me. The girl to my right was constantly asking me how to do anything.. the excuse was that she and her fren wasnt engine students.. right till the end of the lab.. she asked me, "Are u engine student?"

I laughed out wryly.. still badly wanting to pee from the pain of the lab assignment... "NO..I'm from Arts!" And she turned to her fren with a face that read "Shiiiieeeetttt..we're all dead!"...

Hahaha...such was the labour that the 2hr lab extended till 1 plus and i missed a tutorial (I will make up for it tomorrow..) Afterwhich, i attended my 2pm tutorial only to go back to the lab after a stroke of inspiration came to me during the long walk to my tutorial class...

I was tinkering with one of the scale functions just before i left for class and felt as though i could use it to apply to my lab assignment. Labs are like maths...i think there are many ways to solve a given question. So, i decided to give it a shot since the deadline is 5pm...

So, after 3pm...with nutella spreaded bread in my hand and mouth... i headed back to the lab with resolve enough to end the Iraq war... and YEEAAASSSSAAHH!! i was right! Though it wasn't really a shortcut.. at least i completed my lab assignment with enough time to perfect it.. (of course my perfectionist nature wouldn't allow things to rest with an hour more to go before deadline.) I managed to make my staircase look nicer. Oh yah..my lab assignment was to draft out an architectural layout for a house with the elevation drawings of the front door and staircase.

With this accomplishment.. i decided to reward myself with the only $1.10 i had in my bag, just enough for an iced milo (duuuh...planned!) BUT that darn machine just didnt wanna accept coins (which is the only means of payment it accepts!) so i had to switch.. i went to another machine to get myself a hot cup of horlick which was 50cents...

Ahhhhh...i could smell the aroma of the horlicks panas (hot) even while the machine was chirning it out... yummmyy... so when the red light turned off, signalling that cuppa ready to drinka.. ooooohya... i sat down to savour the horlick slowly... surely.. oooohhh... my reward for my day of hard work. (padahal tak buat my other two tutorials along the way!!) hahaha...

And this thought came to mind... Milo tastes best cold and Horlicks, hot! Hahaha... duuuh!!

And anyways baby...

HAPPY 60th! and Happy 14th! and HAPPY 1 year and 2 month!!!!!

Awwww...lets go for our long awaited fondue! Luv you!

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

I got this off one of the forwarded yahoogroups mail..

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?"

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?"

In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that _expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience.

But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse
reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, church, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later.

Because (listen carefully to this):

"THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND..."

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the _expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision".. . not just a feeling.

AirTap uncle!

It's so amazing what you can do when you don't restrict yourselves to the conventions.. the hard-formed regulator of the mind.

An example... what can you do with a guitar? Strum.. Play solo melodies.. rock and roll.. metal rock.. Have you thought what other people can do with it??

This is what some people are doing on their guitar...AIR TAP?!

I ever experimented it on Blackie by accident! I thought it was cool but i couldn't get the sound to project out loud. But since this guy is using an electric-acoustic.. he could project out the sound very nicely! He's playing it like the old Chinese instrument... i forgot the name of the instrument. But cool eh!?
