White Hair..death and religion..
Haiz...i remember that i read this book a long time ago an dcheck my body type according to the chinese believes and with it..it also states the famous people that are associated with the body type. The ones associated with my body type?? Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee..any similarities?
Well..there are good things and there are bad. We'll talk about the good things..well both of them are high achievers and and both love attention. Both are masters of their art and both are damn famous. But the bad thing..these two people..have so much amount of energy that they used it up in a short powerful burst. They both die young. And these are the two people associated with me....
OK...id o see some similarity similarities somehow..when i use energy..i use it in great bursts..somehow.. WILL I DIE YOUNG?? I read this once in some islamic-oriented book that God is actually kind enuf to give you signals to tell you of impending death. But people tend to brush it off..what is this sign u may ask..its the white hair.
But this is what i got off www.islaam.net... Abû Dâwûd records on the authority of ibn `Umar that the Prophet (SAW) said, "Do not pluck your white hairs for they are the light of Islâm. There is no Muslim who attains a white hair while in Islâm except that it will be a light for him on the Day of Judgment." at-Tirmidhî and an-Nasâ´î record on the authority of Ka`b ibn Murrah that the Prophet (SAW) said, "Whoever attains a white hair while in Islâm, it will be a light for him on the Day of Judgment." al-Bayhaqî records on the authority of ibn `Umar that the Prophet (SAW) said, "White hairs are the light of a believer. There is no person who attains a white hair while in Islâm except that he will acquire a good deed for each white hair, and be raised one level."[3,4]
I do hope this is a legitimate source. Then i will be somewhat appeased. This are other quotes i found that describes Islam. And mind you, these are quotes written by non-muslims.
Miss. Sarojini Naidu speaking about this aspect of Islam says,
“ It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for in the mosque, when the minaret is sounded and the worshipers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and the king kneel side by side and proclaim, "God alone is great." When you meet an Egyptian, an Algerian and Indian and a Turk in London, it matters not that Egypt is the motherland of one and India is the motherland of another."
Mahatma Gandhi, in his inimitable style, says
"Some one has said that Europeans in South Africa dread the advent Islam-Islam that civilized Spain, Islam that took the torch light to Morocco and preached to the world the Gospel of brotherhood. The Europeans of South Africa dread the Advent of Islam. They may claim equality with the white races. They may well dread it, if brotherhood is a sin. If it is equality of colored races then their dread is well founded."
If these people had great things to say about Islam..are we proud enough to practise it? You may ask, if they are so wowed by this religion..why didnt they embrace it? Well, they are both Hindus i presume and for those of you who think Hinduism is simply idol worshipping..you are very wrong. Go research on it. Dun be lazy and assume everything is what you think of it as. Hindus accept things the way it is..they accept Islam as a religion. But for them..worship comes in various forms and they accept it all.
Taling about all these..i remember about what Idamurni said to me once..and i now keep it in heart. I will try my best to keep to it..i will try to honour it.
May Allah guide us all..bless us with happiness and health n protect us from the dangers of this world, physically or mentally. Help us become successful people in the world and after...
