Philo and life..
I just quit 2 things in life..
2 things i thought were valuable to me? Have i become a quitter? Its a real far cry from the ME that i noe..that some people know..the person i knew once never backed off in a challenge. The person i knew would grit his teeth and carry on despite the odds bouldering upon him. So why had i given up?
It all comes to this point..is it all worth it? Are my resources enough. I used to think u would win anytime by pure grit and determination but an event proved me wrong. Pure grit and determination carries you..but precisely all that it would do..CARRY YOU..far..as far as you want. But then, that one event proved to me that determination is naked.
Life is not all metal and gears. Human are emotional creatures. What drives your determination? Its either your emotions or your logic-intellect. When Mr Emotion drives..Mr Logic can tell him all the directions but Mr Emo wun listen, he will just go whereever he wants to go. More often that not..you get lost BUT there are times where you get to the right place..faster. But when Mr Logic drives..he gets to the right places BUT many a times..you get there too late. You see..Mr Logic thinks and evaluates while Mr Emo just goes headlong into whatever he wants.
Man is created by God with these 2 gifts..emotions and logic. Beasts (animals) are created with emotions only and Angels are created with intellect only. See how gifted we are in comparison with the other creatures. Man will only achieve the acme if you manage to effeciently utilise the 2 gifts together. Thats economics in action.
Its economics. Its physics..all lumped together in a philosophy. I used to tell my NPCC cadets that everything in life is linked. That subjects that you learnt can somewhat explain your actions in life. In university, i found out the root..why the subjects you learn in school can be some sort of a philosophy. Everything starts of with a philosophy till its proven and concrete. Only then will it form a branch of its own..like mathematics, or economics or chemistry or astronomy. If not, it will remain a philosophy..where people argue till the cows come home to prove it and learn it.
Knowledge will only be gained if you are convinced in it. The mind, once expanded can never again contain itself in the former boundaries.
So you see my friend..dun be too emotionally driven. Plan as though you'd live a thousand years and act as thou you'd live till the dawn of tomorrow. Dun let anything bogg you down. Nowadays, i live with that creed that no one shall bogg me down..no one shall affect my happiness..many a times you have people putting you down, destroying your confidence..mocking you. Smile ad carry on soldier. These people are not worth your emotions. Friends dun mock you..dey noe you. They know when you are thinking what you are thinking cos more often than not..they will go thru fires and snow with you. If they have not..they shouldnt judge you at all. As only God can judge..
So with this..i hope i can somewhat enlighten myself and some straying souls.
May Allah guide us all..bless us with happiness and health n protect us from the dangers of this world, physically or mentally. Help us become successful people in the world and after...
