The Saddest day of 2005..so far..

I have to CHOOSE?? I made the greatest and saddest choice this day today..out of this entire year of my entire life...i sold off my beloved Red Donkey..mere bucks i received from the intangible memories i had with it but who bothers about my memories. The days of pushing my 120kg donkey across PIE, across the Causeway...the days where i felt so exasperated trying to start my Donkey..the days of endless dicoveries..now sold away for mere bucks..its like those Mastercard adverts which goes..

"blah blah blah..PRICELESS..for everything else, there is Mastercard.."

Choice..in life..its mainly about choices..practically everyhing. Sometimes, ur choice to others may seem bad but it IS ur choice..take responsibility and be conscious the reason of every choice u make..even though it may be a 'BLINK' situation..even though it may be those moments u dunno why the heck u made those decisions..objectives always drive u towards ur goals..the choices are the paths u take to get there..but often..if u dunno the paths u take..it leads u not to ur goal..but wastes ur time instead. WHY did i sell my donkey..my take? Its due to economical reasons..for a 14yr old bike, the road tax climbs up high, insurance saps away half of my savings..even tho petrol costs are cheaper than monthly concessions. Plus..the maintainence of my ailing Donkey is the main contributing factor to the reason why i had to sell it off. At the point i sold it off..engines need overhauling and it may take nearly $500-800 to overhaul including the kickstart. My signal lights are bust and headlights low-beam dun work. I have a dent on my tank and my tyre rims rust everytime it rains. I only have a mirror on the LEFT handle..(to check my hair after i remove my helmut..) and my bike can only move max 80kmh!!! So..due to all these economic costs..i sold it off. Maybe i'll just walk to school..maybe run..maybe cycle..who noes..my new quote?

"As long as im still young and fit..might as well use my energy than use my money.."
(created by the vzoj yesterday nite at ard 10pm.)

Hmmmm...but i will really miss my Donkey..my first bike.

Tomorrow will be the first day of the 4 day preliminary rounds of the SRRR (singapore river whatever race larh..), stretched over 3 wks and held at Singapore Poly, right beside where i used to work...and also the place at which it first struck onto me to get involved in the sport. I used to watch the SP canoe polo team train during lull peroids at werk. Kayaking had been a past time i used to indulge in over weekends before i enlisted into NS. It started out in NPCC..n Kiwi introduced us to Kayaking..back then, Beng and me were quite into it..climbing from 1-star to 3-star..but we didnt go for the 3-star test as i had already enlisted into NS and afterwhich the rental rates climbed up steeply. So when i discovered there was such a sport like Canoe Polo..i was naturally drawn to it...it was the only thing i looked out for during the matric fair..and i actually went up to the canoeing booth to ask..and they said i had to contact the canoepolo captain to ask. I search for the contact at OSA website and i tink i got Henry's number..in which he said they were currently having IVP so they will contact me again when they have selections a month or two after sem starts...i actually actively pursued this sport and its rare since i was always passive into stuffs..joining only because my fren persuaded me to. So now..a day before my 1st ever competitive game, after 4 months of training..i am up against people who are at least a year into the game..(but looking at my team grouping..we up up against ppl who are at least 2yrs into the game!!) Mmmmmm...but man..NO FEAR..is my 05-06 motto..my team's goal..to support each other..maintain possession..be aggressive in both attack n defense and score.

For those not familiar with this game..it's played in a swimming pool of 35m in length and 23m in width with rectangular..(nearly square) goalposts at both ends of the pool, set-up 2m above water. Each team has 5 players n max of 3 substitutes. Sub can be done at any time of the game and is not exhaustive. Game time is minimum 7 mins played over two halves n max 10mins with half time intervals between 1-3mins. Players don protectve vest, helmet with face guards and wear shirts with sleeves that cover at least the part of the arm above the elbows. Of course, each person sits in a kayak, and duuuuh..with double ended paddles and a polo ball. U can tackle someone by toppling him into the water...pushing him on his back, underarm or upper part of his arm IF he has possession of the ball. It seems quite violent and chaotic but somehow..there are tactics and rules to preserve safety and fairness. Come and watch if u wanna noe more. Games are at Singapore Poly pool on the 24th and 31st Dec as well as the 7th and 8th of Jan 06 from 8.40am till 3pm.

Well, then there is 3J Junior that will kickoff next monday, 26th Dec till 2nd Jan 06..but sadly i can only go for Rebutia Tawakal Camp as i have to be back for the 2nd day of SRRR preliminaries on the 31st. I dunno how i am going to get back here but i hope i can w/o any hassle. Maybe i take train..hehe..long time never take train la..wahaha..But 3J has been a real challenge to the whole team. I admit i didnt do much due to my sport commitments and i regret it had to be this way and i really apologise to all those members in the projek. And after this projek ends on the 2nd of Jan 06..i noe it will not be settled till we have paid off the $3,500 we owe the JK treasury..i will stick on..dun worry.

Well..to end off..certain things in life really pisses me off but i thank God and the people who love me for keeping me sane..

May Allah guide us all..bless us with happiness and health n protect us from the dangers of this world, physically or mentally. Help us become successful people in the world and after...
