"Eye on the prize.."

My first day in school..had to attend two lectures. EC2101: Microeconomic Analysis 1 and FNA1002: Accounting. I made it a point to sleep at max 12midnite ystrday so i can wake up for subuh (successfully..) and i did! Guess..if i have nothing (assignments, projects and other misc stuffs) to settle..i will sleep before midnite. One thing i have learnt from last year is that..MSN SUCKS U OFF!!!! It's a parasite devouring you off your precious time! But hell..its a good way to tok to ppl and get to know your frens. Its a GOOD evil..but i have to keep off it! (Aisyah..i noe u r reading this..stay off the net unless absolutely necessary..its an advise from a brother.)


I'm sitting here..tapping away on the keyboard of kcik's laptop..tiny laptop which i can barely make out the words on the screen but compact and portable..VERY portable compared to my 2.7kg 15-inch thick and rugged IBM which could kill if used in appropriate ways. (well..typical Faizola huh? Remember my Siemens phone..n my dream ericsson waterproof phone..?) I have always had a soft-spot for ruggedness in design. Not one who fancies the softies thing...so far..all the stuffs i aim for are somewhat rugged in design. I want a jeep / truck / suv for a vehicle. I like rustic designs for interior..i only accept tag heur and g-shock on my wrist..wad else?? Hmmm...if i remember i'll note it down.


So far..microecons analysis have revealed itself..somewhat..being more of the mathematical cousin of the normal microecons that i had learnt so far. For the first lesson jst now..we dwelved into the equations involved in Demand and Supply Analysis as well as elasticities..and yeah.."fitting" the cuuurve. There is gonna be a quiz for every tutorial lesson..i guess..yeah..myt as well since it will somewhat force me to revise. Thay'll take the best 5 out of 8 and use that as participation marks in class. Working for a perfect 5 to be able to beat those PRCs whom i have heard off..been able to pull up the moderation standards due to the overwhelming number of A+...if they're A+..i will have to be one to so i wun get a chance to be sucked down the whirlpool of local students who rest on their hinds in comparison to these PRCs who slogged their way here. What diff do we have in physical form?? Zilch..genetically yes but hey..god gave us strengths to complement our weakness. These two are complementary goods within an individual! Hahaa..


Accounting had been OK..abit similar to sec school concept only much deeper and more theoretical..definitely more advanced so i guessed whatever backgrd i had only served as intro to the chapters in this module. I hope it helps me grab an A at least..i also observed that out of the 959ppl taking this module..there are MANY Nguyens..meaning? Viet Kongs...hahaha...naah..just joking. Yep..many viets are taking this module..havnt heard a tall tale about them..but im not giving them chance. MAybe after i conquered the accountancy modules..i can go take a private dip or degree in accountancy? Open up my jobscope..n its all for the 'bigger goal'..the family goal that Fazli n i have. Well..we are really working towards THE goal..


This sem..to get my CAP up to 4.0..i have to get a 4.9......basically A's and A+..nothing else. So im focused..my eye on the prize..i'll go for the 4.9..the dean's list insyaallah will also be bagged. And yes..a bursary or something. I'm in need of money!!! I just got a job at the tuition ctr..mercu learning ctr at Bangkit. Teaching P4 and P6 kids..my financial goal? SGD$1000 p/mth..at least for 3 consecutive months this year...i'll need 2-3 more tuition job to cover for this. Auuuuuwah!
